After finishing the world map at La Miranda-The Global Quality School in Barcelona, we made one of our most enjoyed projects: the remodeling of an old pool ventilation unit.
It was a good area to create a bench because there are always parents waiting for their children after school. The usability issue was solved but we needed an idea that could be associated with the content of the world map. We are still very proud to have found such an appropriate idea: a tropical island!
The seating surface represents the sand on the beach and below there is the depiction of the bottom of the seabed full of seaweed, coral and some unusual species. Above, the voluptuous shapes were covered with ceramic toucans, palm trees, exotic birds, green iguanas…
In short, a comfortable place to take a break and observe the world!
